Judy is a self-taught artist that has been involved in arts and crafts of all types for 40 years. She incorporates many of the techniques she has learned over the years into her new passion for gourd art. She is a member of the Idaho Gourd Society. the Arizona Gourd Society and the American Gourd Society. She is the editor for the Idaho Gourd Society news letter and the web master for the Idaho Gourd Society web page. She donates much of her art work to local groups to help support them financially. This art work is usually sold at silent auctions. She regularly competes in state fairs, gourd shows and wood craft competitions where she has won numerous awards. Judy's life long interest in the outdoors, native cultures, nature and love of animals is reflected in her work. Judy considers the gourd a natural canvas for her creative endeavors.
Her work has been featured at the Ulm Pishkin Buffalo Jump State Park in Montana, the annual art show for the benefit of fighting cancer, in Kalamath Falls, Oregon and is currently shown at Jonita's Southwest Connection in Boise, Idaho.
